VMSR Computer Suite
The VMSR employs two full-time informaticists to provide data analysis and statistical support. The computer suite shown above houses two Axon microarray scanners, four workstations running several data analysis packages, and multiple web and data servers. The VMSR continues to maintain state of the art analysis procedures from Loess normalization during image processing to the clustering of gene expression results based on gene ontologies, pathways, or protein interactions. Together, these methods provide the means to accurately assess and interpret complex microarray data sets in an efficient and biologically relevant manner.
